Stock master and apply modes

Stock Master - who is right?

3PL is Master (default). Differences are corrected in Odoo using native inventory adjustments - the same mechanism as a manual stock count, fully visible in Inventory's move history. Choose this when the goods physically live at the warehouse: their count is reality.

Odoo is Master. The sync never changes Odoo stock. Differences are recorded as discrepancy lines on the report for a person to chase. Choose this during disputes, migrations, or wherever Odoo's figures are contractually the reference.

Stock Adjustments - immediate or reviewed?

With 3PL-as-master you choose how corrections land:

  • Apply Immediately - adjustments post during the sync; hands-off.
  • Leave as Counted Quantities for Review - the 3PL's figures are staged as counted quantities in Inventory > Physical Inventory; a stock controller applies (or rejects) them. Same data, human sign-off.
